Have you explored the little glowing shed that has landed in Sadler’s Yard? Take to the red carpet and travel up through its eaves to discover a space designed as an antidote to festive fatigue, brimming with cosy corners and comfortable conviviality.
WINTERLAST has been designed and built by open design studio PLANT NOMA utilising items that have been made by the public in weekly workshops in collaboration with local designers makers and is being operated in collaboration with the beer brains behind The Pilcrow, offering an alternative venue for seasonal merriment.
There’s not a bratwurst in sight.
Instead you can expect an esoteric seasonal drinks menu including mulled cider and festive negronis, ready to be supped in the surroundings of this tumbledown woodland grotto, offering a real escape from the market crowds and last minute shopping panic.
There’s also the opportunity to watch one of the nation’s favourite Christmas films with free screenings single day at 4pm and 7pm in the brand new Now Showing Club cinema, including classics such as Home Alone, Die Hard and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Festive family friendly flicks also take place each Saturday at 10am throughout December, culminating in the much loved Muppet Christmas Carol, with free popcorn and paper crafts from GF Smith Paper also available to keep the little ones busy.
Good news for those of you who are still struggling to find that perfect spot for annual catch-up drinks and Christmas parties too as Winterlast is available to hire! Simply email your details to firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements and see if this handmade hideaway could be the perfect place for your seasonal shenanigans.
Winterlast is open from 4pm between 1st-23rd December and is located on Sadler’s Yard, NOMA.
